Overview

Smiths Consulting was commissioned by a world leader in defence electronics to be a joint implementation partner for a suite of SAP products.  The decision to replace the existing IBS solution, based on the Compass Contract ERP application, was necessary due to increasing technical issues and it being less cost effective in meeting the business’s needs.

Smiths Scope:

    1. ERP : Financials, Project Planning, Sales, Procurement, Repairs Warehousing and Manufacturing, based on the Aerospace and Defence industry solution
    2. SCM : Demand Planning and MRP
    3. BI : Financial, Management and KPI reporting
    4. MII : Shop floor data collection and bespoke processes
  • STANDARDISED the processes to a much greater level of consistency across business units and sites
  • INTRODUCED a single point of entry for a products lifecycle leading to a greater collaboration between units and suppliers
  • INCORPORATED the businesses functional requirements
  • DELIVERED the project on time and on budget
