Overview
Known to the client for their delivery capability, Smiths Consulting has been commissioned by a leading pharmaceutical company to take over the delivery of a Pan –European programme. The ‘rescue’ programme will roll-out hardware and software to over 4000 users across twenty-seven European countries, including Russia and South Africa. The programme consists of six work streams: application readiness, communications, hardware procurement, deployment, live service transition and training.
Smiths scope:
- INTRODUCED a talented, adaptable pool of staff that delivered to scope and identified programme improvements within current remit and budget
- DELIVERED an applications work stream on schedule and under budget
- SUBMITTED a proposal for the take-on of the whole programme which resulted in Smiths Consulting being commissioned
- INTRODUCED a top-down approach and systematically identified:
1. the programme stakeholders
2. their success criteria
3. programme deliverables linked to the achievement of success criteria
4. the need to restructure the programme to be country business focussed. This resulted in fifty in-country deployment projects.
