As part of a joint venture, Smiths Consulting was commissioned by one of the world’s leading semiconductor system solutions providers to assist in the harmonisation of their American and European business units' ERP and CRM systems to a common solution.
Smiths Scope:
Initially, both the American and European business units had full implementations of SAP R/3, BW and CRM systems with interfaces developed to the corporate headquarters’ systems. Working successfully alongside Accenture who developed and supported the new systems for this diverse project, Smiths Consulting:
- PROVIDED technical and governance support for the European teams
- GUIDED and ASSISTED in the delivery of the common solution
- MANAGED key challenges including:
- Global harmonisation to common processes
- Harmonisation of master data definitions
- Co-ordination and governance across multiple time zones
