Overview

Smiths Consulting was commissioned by one of the world’s largest mobile companies to carry out a feasibility study for a complex SAP commissions project.  The success of this initial phase was key to Smiths Consulting being later contracted as the prime supplier to undertake the challenging commissions project using the latest SAP functionality.

Smiths Scope:

  • IDENTIFIED a suitable platform and environment for SAP ICM solution : SAP Incentive and Commission module
  • DOCUMENTED and GAINED APPROVAL of business requirements for : indirect and retail channel commission payments and financial management and reporting of commission payments to the indirect and retail channels
  • DOCUMENTED and GAINED APPROVAL of high level solution design for documented businesses requirements
  • PLANNED budget and resource profile for both external contract and internal resource for SAP ICM implementation
  • MANAGED key challenges including:
    1. Number of interfaces required to support commission payment
    2. Lack of documented current procedures and legacy solutions

    3. Gaining agreement for requirements and proposed solution across a large number of different business departments
